HUNTING SEASON & -DURATION
The season for trophy hunting is fixed by the ministry. It currently
spreads from February 1st, to November 30th, of
each year. No trophy hunting is allowed in December and January!
Please bear in mind, that the months October and November
can get really hot. If you do not like it hot,
try to avoid these months, especially when hunting Doro! Nawas.
In order to maximize your chances to get the desired
trophy-animals, we recommend you to stay approximately
10 days with us.
To enter
Namibia:
The compulsory arrival form (322 KB) as
well as the firearm import form
(110 KB) can be downloaded here.
CLOTHING
Olive or dark khaki-material is field proven.
Two to three shirts and two long pants from solid material,
as well as a light bush jacket and a sweater
are sufficient for the months Octobers to April. Those accustomed
to it can opt to hunt in shorts. This is especially handy when
hunting during the hot months. In the time from April until
September it can be sensitively cold in the morning and in the
evening, so a heavy jacket is necessary.
BINOCULARS
A pair of good quality binoculars are essential on your hunt.
Cheap stuff won’t last under African conditions. I am
using a Leica Ultravid 7x42 myself and rate
it fine.
Don’t forget your camera / video camera &
films as well as sunblocker &
hat!
